weekend fun

Okay, so, do you know those conversations that go really well and you're at a loss to actually remember what was said? Those ALWAYS happen to me...I always have these conversations that I think go really well, but in retrospect, I am at a loss to remember what I actually said.

So went my phone call with Damon tonight.

Let me go back a few days...

Friday there was a party and Saturday my dad came to visit. More about those later. Romantic dilemmas now.

On Saturday night, I had nothing to do. Having been completely wasted the night before, I decided to play it chill and either relax by myself or merely hang out with someone. Well, as everyone had big party plans, I called Damon to see if he wanted to hang out. Turns out...he was too busy with work to go out.

Yeeeeeah.

On a Saturday night.

Now, its not that I didn't believe him. For one thing, I don't think he'd lie to me about that; his office is on the main street in town, so, if I had decided to go out, I could totally see it from wherever I went. And second, I know he is just THAT committed to his work. Which is sweet, but not when you're bored out of your mind on a Saturday night.

Of course, like a spoiled child, I practically begged him to hang out with me. I actually called him twice; once after sending him an e-mail with a clip to a porn site that featured a girl giving a guy a rim job (I thought it was funny; him, not so much). And of course, I was disappointed. And sad. And angry. So I stewed over it for awhile, and then e-mailed him, apologizing for being annoying.

He e-mailed back at noon today: You weren't annoying. Sorry I was busy.

I felt better, but was still iffy about the whole situation. Until tonight, when I called him about the article I am writing and found him to be in high spirits. He was being considerably nicer than the night before.

First, when I read the lead of my story to him, he said it was "fucking awesome."

Second, there was quite a bit of lighthearted banter. He told me about a rat in his office and we discussed the rallies that have been taking place on campus.

And then, third, when I apologized for always e-mail/calling him about stories and such, he assured me that it did not annoy him.

So, after all of this took place (there was more, though...I am just quite forgetful!), I asked him, as we were getting off the phone, if we were still on to hang out on Thursday (we had discussed it on Saturday night). He said that sounded good.

Yay for good conversations! Now I feel good and revitalized. But I am trying not to get my hopes up too much because you know how that goes; there will surely be a pin to pop my balloon. So for now I will just feel good and remember not to expect anything come Thursday!!!

Okay...

On to my weekend.

Friday was a big party and I got pretty wasted. Here are some pix:

Me getting ready to go out

Crazy antics

I took 130 pictures at that party...and all of them are me pretty much making out with people. Fun night.

On Saturday, my dad came to visit for parent's weekend. It was a blast!

My dad took a hella lot of pictures of me. But I got a few good ones of him, haha.

For lunch, he took me to Sonic, which I have never eaten at before, but turned out to be amazing!!! Then, we went to Wal-Mart to pick up some dorm essentials (including wine coolers, HOLLA).

After that, we headed back to town where I showed him around. Then we went to a movie at the local indie theater. We saw My Best Friend which was a pretty amazing French film about a man searching for a best friend. I highly reccomend it; my dad and I absolutely loved it. I never thought the French version of Who Wants To Be A Millionaire would make me tear up, but it sure did!!!

Then, after that, I took him to the best bagel restaraunt in the world, that has the most awesome bagel sandwiches. He loved it!!!

So basically I had an awesome time with my dad, which is saying a lot, considering the drama of the past year. But I guess he has a new therapist and is on new medication, so he is happy all of the time! Yay!

Also, on Friday during the day, I shot my short film. I thought I had written an entry about it but I guess not. More about that later...

But for now, I will put more pictures of my college and other random stuff.

My friend and floormate, high as a kite with major munchies!
